Workplace Giving  Empower your Employees

A culture of compassion creates productivity in the workplace. Employees that support local programs are exercising real-world teamwork. By encouraging charitable giving, you empower your employees to be compassionate to their own team needs. In 2018, UWEO was thankful to receive payroll contributions from the employees of Anderson Perry, Bimart, Boise Cascade, FedEx, Grand Ronde Hospital, La Grande Pediatric Clinic, La Grande School District, O’Reilly Auto Parts, the State of Oregon, Union County, US Bank, the US government, UPS, and Walmart.* In 2019, we launched payroll programs at Blue Mountain Translator District and the Union County Chamber of Commerce!

Employee contributions can be made as one-time, or as monthly payroll deductions. Employer-employee match giving can also be set up for monthly deductions. If your business needs logistical support setting up a Workplace Giving campaign, we are happy to set up a time to talk with your management or bookkeeping staff. Please contact us.

Corporate Giving Set an Example

As a corporate leader in this community, others inherently look up to you. Your business has the opportunity to demonstrate what it really means to be invested in our community. Support of United Way of Eastern Oregon is a public announcement that your business cares about its community and is stepping forward to actively make a difference. We are excited to highlight donors with public recognition they deserve! We are thankful for corporate donations from Avista, Boise Cascade, Bimart, La Grande Amusement, US Bank, and Valley Insurance, along with a corporate match donation from Walmart.

Event Sponsorship Join the Party!

Many local business owners like to sponsor or donate resources in-kind to our various civic activities and campaign events. At our 2019 Shamrock Shuffle, we received food funds from OTEC and water bottles from Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Eastern Oregon to give runners the energy they needed to get across the finish line! Please contact us to talk about upcoming opportunities and see our Events page for more info on current activities!

Legacy Giving  Giving to the Future

What better way to thank the people or organizations that have had an impact on your life and support your community, than to make a contribution from your estate through a bequest? Charitable giving is not only for the wealthy! Gifts large and small are important. Please contact us to set up a confidential appointment regarding Legacy Giving at 541.962.0306

Individual Gifts Be the Change

Just as every individual in this community matters, so does every penny we can raise to support each other. Every dollar, put together, makes the difference that we work toward. One-time and recurring gifts can be made online here.

* Walmart employees, note that you can only donate to categories rather than specific United Way supported agencies. “Hunger” donations are given to Neighbors Together, “Education” donations are given to Kids Club, and “Health” donations are given to Mt. Emily Safe Center.
